Safe In Austin Animal Shelter

Join us for a volunteer experience at Safe in Austin, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary that rescues, rehabilitates, and provides lifelong care for over 200 animals representing more than a dozen species.

Some of the group volunteer activities include cleaning up after the animals (poo-per scooping), brushing the animals, cleaning kennels and cages, small or large fencing project, building, shrub removal, plus so much more.

Of course there is always some time left to make sure everyone gets a chance to visit with the animals as well.

Important information:

• Closed toe shoes are a must.
• Volunteers must be prepared to work in all weather conditions and plan to dress appropriately. (We will reschedule if it is raining)
• Must be over 8yrs old with a parent present.
• Everyone must have a signed wavier at www.safeinaustin.org
• Bring water and work gloves.
• Upon arrival, please push the call button at the gate and park in the parking lot to the right. We will meet you down there.
